Obey is an investment bank for Hip-hop fans: we sell music Futures. More specifically, Obey is a decentralized exchange to socially trade derivative contracts that speculate on the future streaming performance of Hip-hop songs. We convert Hip-hop into financial derivatives and fans into speculative traders. The format of buying and selling these contracts, modelled as dynamically priced NFTs, is driven by natural behavioral music consumption interactions on Apple Music, realized risk-aversion, and expected cashflows.
