Based in Berlin since 2017, Susan is a Brazilian qualified lawyer and, more importantly, a writer. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Arbitration from Humboldt University in Berlin. She was an undergrad intern at CMS Hasche Sigle, Baker Mckenzie, the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and at the Brazilian Administrative Council of Economic Defense (Brazilian antitrust body, CADE).
Her passion for art and travel motivated her to leave Brazil and move to Berlin. While studying at Humboldt University with a special focus on art arbitration, she found the perfect job at a small art gallery in Neukölln where the artist focused on drawing weird monsters. This flawless combination was everything she needed to fuel her creative, curious, wicked side.
In 2018, after her Master's graduation, all this build-up exploded into an idea and Susan decided to take a break from law to write a horror novel. That is when she joined Speedinvest as a part-time office manager in the Berlin office.
Having joined the company at an exponential growth phase, Susan's hands-on contribution to a transitioning operations team was significantly supported its achievements. After one year at Speedinvest, she became responsible for managing the Berlin, Munich, London and Paris offices. This position allows her to apply all her creative, flexible "Brazilianity" - and it gives her just the right kinds of goosebumps.
