Augustine Groebacher Chen

Augustine is part of the Finance team at Speedinvest, based in Vienna. He is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Speedinvest’s various entities across Europe and beyond. His role involves ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficient reporting processes across the organization’s international structure.

After completing his Master’s degree in Business at the University of Applied Sciences for Management and Communication in Vienna, Augustine transitioned into accounting and controlling. He joined a Vienna-based SaaS startup as an Accounting Associate, where he played a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations during its scale-up phase. His growing curiosity about the broader startup and investment ecosystem led him to Speedinvest, where he now brings his financial expertise to the venture capital space.

Born in India with Chinese heritage, Augustine brings a rich multicultural perspective. Passionate about personal growth and team development, Augustine is especially interested in how effective leadership can empower individuals and nurture collective success. Outside of work, he is an avid dog lover and enjoys spending his time outdoors—whether it's hiking, bouldering, running, or simply exploring nature. He also finds joy in reading and expanding his knowledge across diverse topics.
