Julian moved from portfolio to partner, joining the Speedinvest team from one of its companies, TIER Mobility, the multinational urban mobility firm and European leader he co-founded alongside Lawrence Leuschner and Matthias Laug.
Prior to starting TIER, Julian completed a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Munich. He then gained extensive operational venture experience, starting at Partech Ventures, and took his first steps as an entrepreneur as Co-Founder of Ark.com.
He dove further into the building and launching companies as Venture Lead and GM at BCG Digital Ventures where he had worked since its founding in 2014. Examples of ventures launched during his time at BCG DV include COUP Mobility and NIST.
Aside from his PhD, Julian studied Business Administration (Dipl.-Kffm.), Business Research (Msc.) and Technology Management (Honors) at LMU Munich, the Center for Digital Technologies and Management (CDTM), and the University of California Berkeley.
